My Everyday Make Up Routine

Clinique CC Cream
I used to think of CC creams as low coverage quick fixes for a no-make up/ natural look. However, after using this gorgeous CC cream from Clinique I think completely differently. It gives my skin a smooth glowy finish, covering any redness and feels lightweight at the same time. I use the colour medium.

Mac Studio Fix
Depending on what I have planned for the day I can get away with just CC cream and concealer/powder, however if I want a little more coverage I will add a touch of Mac Studio Fix over the top to give a long wearing flawless finish.
I have been using this foundation for years. I use shade NC20 in the winter, NC25 in the summer and find it blends perfectly into the skin.

Mac Studio Fix Powder
To set my look I will take a big fluffy brush from real techniques and my Mac Studio fix powder , another product I have used for years, which leaves my skin silky yet matte ready to be bronzed.

Chanel Bronzer
The velvety finish of this light cream-gel bronzer leaves your skin with a beautiful sun-kissed look. Super natural looking and gorgeous chic packaging, this is a must have on my daily make up menu.

Mac Blush
This is the best powder blush that I have ever used, its a great colour and is not too pink, but more natural looking powder blush colour. I find it blends really well with my foundation, feels great on my skin and is very long lasting. Everything you can wish for in a blush.

HD Brow Pencil
This fabulous brow pencil is perfect for creating hair strokes that mimic the appearance of natural brow hairs. Blendable and smudge-proof, the formula is soft in texture with a powdery finish making application super easy. It also features a built-in sharpener for sharpening on the go.

Mac Eyeshadow Palette
This well-edited palette features a colour wave of pinky nude hues and provides an array of textures from matte to satin to frost for creating a variety of looks for both day and night.

Clinique Mascara
This gentle, long-wearing mascara keeps lashes held up high all day. Its lightweight mousse-like formula means its flake and smudge resistant and gives your eyes that bigger, brighter, boosted look.

Mac Whirl and Velvet Teddy
I’ve wont bore you by talking about Velvet Teddy any more as its featured in 50% of my posts on my blog. Whirl and Velvet Teddy paired together create my go-to every day look. Chic and sophisticated, they look great on a wide variety of skintones.

Is there anything missing from my make up bag which you think I will love? Please leave me a comment with your recommendations!

Make Your High Street Wardrobe Look Luxury

While we would all love a wardrobe full of Gucci and Dior, there are plenty of ways to make your high street wardrobe look more luxury and elevate your current collection.

Find Your Style
With numerous different styles and looks appearing on the catwalk these days, its important to find your own style and wear something you love with confidence. Once you know what you like, you can shop around for pieces inspired by your favourite catwalk.

Invest in Classic Pieces
I will always invest in classic pieces and spend more on styles and items that won’t go out of fashion. Focus on purchasing coats that are forever such as a classic camel, a navy pea and the ever fashionable belted trench. Collect them all and you’ll never find yourself with nothing to wear. These items don’t have to be high end designer; premium high street brands such as Reiss, Karen Millen, Marks and Spencer all offer luxury pieces for less yet the quality is still there.

Forgo the trends each season and find dupes for those pieces that will go out of fashion quicker such as these Gucci inspired loafers or this top with major Self-Portrait Vibes.

Tailoring
As a rule, tailored pieces look more expensive, a quick nip and tuck can add £££ to any outfit. Make sure the piece has the correct hem and ensure it’s freshly pressed before you wear. Taking the extra five minutes to steam or press your look will add instant polish and make you feel put together and chic.

Add Accessories
Think Olivia Palmero and Victoria Beckham. Add a pair of sunglasses and some structural gold jewelry to finish off your look. Additionally, choose metals that have some weight to them instead of ones that look and feel flimsy.Clean Cuts
Keep it clean and go for simple designs. Mango and Zara are my go to for everyday work tops and trousers. Prints are the easiest way to make an outfit tired. What you love one season will make you dated the next. Stick to solid more neutral colours.

Silk Scarves
Make any outfit look expensive and sophisticated. Tie them around your hair, handbag, neck or wrist for a Parisian vibe or pair with a tailored outfit for that just off the catwalk look.

All Black/ Tonal Colours
Not only is it incredibly elongating, but a monochrome outfit always looks intentional and put together. Just make sure your whites are bright and your blacks match.

Good Underwear
Invest in smart, supportive underwear. A lace bra looks great under a sheer top but a visible pant line will not do anything for your outfit.

Beauty matters
Polished hair and makeup elevate any look. Keep your nails clean and painted and add a spritz of your favourite perfume. And if all else fails, finish with a bold red lip!
