December Favourites

I know I say this every month but I can’t believe we are at the end of December! What a crazy, beautiful festive month to end a fabulous year. December is always my favourite month, and with a holiday to look forward to, this month my favourites post is going to be slightly different, consisting of my favourite new beauty bits I have received for Christmas.

When you're reading this, I will probably be on holiday and we won’t be taking our Christmas presents away with us, so we have had one a day in the lead up to the day we fly (how cute is my mum) – below are the bits that I have been lucky enough to receive.

I had heard such good things about this under eye powder and one of my best friend’s who’s a make up artist always picks this up whenever we’re shopping so I am so happy I finally have my hands on it.

Jo Malone Body creams are so luxurious and my favourite fragrance is Peony and Blush Suede (I have the perfume and candle to match)

I have been using this throughout December and it’s a dream!

How beautiful is Charlotte Tilbury packaging, I don’t think I will ever be able to throw it away and the products are gorgeous.

This palette includes every shade I would use from pastel tones, to shimmers and great for a natural smoky eye look.

My all time favourite concelar! I have used this since March and it’s a product I always repurchase.

My favourite shade – Velvet Teddy and a new Liquid Lipstick in a slightly darker, more wintery tone – So Me.

I am in love with the sleek design of the white platinum hair styler. Its proven to give 20% more shine to your hair and takes the guilt out of heat styling. Paired with my Umberto Giannini Thicktastic products, my hair should feel like a dream in no time.

What are your favourites of the month and what are you hoping to receive under the Christmas tree this year? Leave me a comment below and I'll see you all on my blog in the new year!

Perfectly Packed Carry On - Last of The Winter Sun

Tomorrow I'm lucky enough to be making my way to Abu Dhabi for a much needed winter break with my family. I'll be spending 10 days lounging on beaches, indulging in luxury spa treatments and celebrating the festive holiday.

The flight is around 7/8 hours and this year I'm travelling in style with British Airways first class. Comfort is key on any flight, so the first item I have packed in my carry on is my travel outfit, from Zara - this beautiful Gucci inspired cardigan and matching bottoms!

Although you'll never catch me at the airport with the no-make up/ big sunglasses look. Those 7 hours I'm in the sky, with my glass of Champagne, I like to indulge my skin as much as I can so I have a whole list of beauty essentials packed.

Carry on beauty essentials are pretty restricted as you can take no more than 10, 100ml bottles -  therefore making the shortlist of products was a tough decision #firstworldproblems, here are the products that have made the cut!

To cleanse my face, I have packed my Olay face wipes – I don’t normally use face wipes (saving the liquid allowance) but these face wipes are great at removing make up and cleansing the face as well as gentle enough to remove any eye make up.

Next is my trusty Clinique toner – I love this product and use it daily to refresh my skin.

I’ve popped in a sheet mask, I’ve ran out of my favourite Starskin masks – need to make an order, but have picked up a Garnier moisture bomb tissue mask – being on a plane, your skin can get quite dehydrated so this one sounded perfect!

My final skin care products I have packed are my Alpha-H Liquid Gold (can’t go anywhere without it now) and my Clinique moisture surge and eye cream.

When I land in Abu Dhabi, I want to look presentable, so I have popped in my Clinique CC cream and mascara, Nars concelar and my new favourite CharlotteTilbury lipstick in Penelope Pink.

Apart from other travel essentials – passport, boarding pass, travel money, a good book, my laptop and probably a couple of duty free purchases, that’s everything that will be coming on the plane with me.

I can't wait to share my Abu Dhabi adventures with you, so be sure to be following me on Instagram

Wishing you a fabulous Christmas!

Sunday Evening Pamper Routine

A relaxing day at the spa is something we all dream of but not always something that we can fit into our busy schedules, which is why on Sunday evenings I like to bring the spa to my home.

To set the tone and create the perfect ambience for my Sunday night in, I like to run a bath, dim the lights and light my Elemis Life Elixir’s fortitude candle. The Elemis LifeElixirs collection is beautiful, they do a range of aroma’s including calm, fortitude, sleep, embrace and clarity. My personal favourite is the fortitude collection to bring balance back into life, it has a luxurious uplifting aroma and creates that much needed moment of calm.

I will add 3 capfuls of my calming bath and shower elixir oil to running bath water. You can also use this as a body wash. The scent is heavenly and it leaves my skin soft and moisturised.

I’ll make myself a hot cup of herbal tea and breathe in the indulgent scents that the elemis collection has filled my bathroom with. Bliss..

What are your Sunday evening plans?
